MusicTrends.net helps you analyze your music listening history. To do that, the service stores account details and the listening data you choose to connect or import.

Information we collect

  • Account information such as your email address, display name, password hash, and profile settings.
  • Music-service identifiers you provide, such as Last.fm usernames and ListenBrainz usernames or user tokens.
  • Listening history and related metadata imported from Last.fm, ListenBrainz, Spotify export files, MusicBrainz, and related metadata sources.
  • Operational data such as import status, background job results, and application notifications.

Spotify exports

When you upload a Spotify Extended Streaming History ZIP file, MusicTrends parses the file to import listening records. The app stores the listening records and relevant metadata needed for charts and insights.

How we use your data

Your data is used to provide dashboards, charts, search, imports, account management, and related MusicTrends features. We do not sell your personal data.

Third-party services

MusicTrends may request or link to data from services including Last.fm, ListenBrainz, Spotify, MusicBrainz, TheAudioDB, and CDN providers used for public assets.

Deleting your data

You can delete your account from your account settings. Account deletion removes your MusicTrends account and associated stored listening data from the application database.
